Yoyo does ShanghaiThis summer Yoyo the dolphin, the beloved Ctrip mascot, toured Shanghai by hopping on and off a Spring City Sightseeing Bus tour. His first stop was the Bund where he tried to show off his muscles in front of the ladies by trying, with all his might, to push over the Pearl Tower. He didn't succeed, but his fans on the Bund were thoroughly entertained. Yoyo is strong, but not as fit as two of his heroes—Andy Murray (the reigning champ of the Shanghai Rolex Masters) or last year's runner-up David Ferrer—both of whom he hopes to see October 6-14 at Qi Zhong Stadium. Yoyo has A+ tickets and invites you to join him at the stadium to witness this exciting ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in action. If you're visiting Shanghai or you'd like a 'staycation' there are plenty of Tianzifang is a good bet. More after the break....
Yoyo enjoys listening to jazz music by the Old Jazz Band in the historic Peace Hotel's Old Jazz Bar, with a single malt scotch in hand of course.
Yoyo had a hard time fitting through the doors, but once he squeezed through he enjoyed the wind blowing through his fins on top of this double-decker Spring City Sightseeing Bus!
People from all over the world love Yoyo and Yoyo loves them. Did you know there are almost 40 species of dolphin found worldwide? It's true.
These lovable kids made the tail-end of Yoyo's day!
Who wants a pair of glasses with a red nose and a blow-out horn?! This guy (he's a kid at heart!) does! Yoyo couldn't find one that fit, so he settled to give out normal-sized ones for normal-sized schnozes.
Yoyo had fun taking pictures with fans at his favorite spot, Tianzifang, but he got in a bit of trouble for trying to roam through the small alleyways with his big fat tail. Poor Yoyo! (He's no dummy though. He sweet talked the guards and in no time everyone was friends.)
Guanxi goes a long way, even for dolphins!
And last but not least, Yoyo tried not to blush in the company of these fabulous ladies lunching in Xintiandi.Yoyo's next appearance will be at the Shanghai Rolex Masters October 6-14. Ctrippers, keep your eye out for him!
