UPDATE: We're getting fantastic photos from people, as you can see above! Keep 'em coming. We've extended the contest deadline to February 18, which means that all your Spring Festival travel pics can be submitted.... IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be sure that your photos are large enough to display clearly in the Flickr stream (and, later, on the contest page). Recommended size: 640 x 480 pixels minimum (not those exact dimensions, necessarily, but approximately that size or larger). If you're reading this blog the likelihood is you think China is a pretty awesome place (or you're at least open to the possibility!). And you know what? It is! (You'll just have to come and see for yourself if you're not sure...) Clearly, we think so—there's just so much  great stuff out there and we want to see it all. That's why we're getting together with our sponsors Ctrip to present the Ctrip China Travel Photo Contest. Open to all, this is your chance to put your best China travel pics on display and WIN! From thousands of RMB in Ctrip travel vouchers to beautiful China photography books, we've got a bunch of cool prizes to give away. The top photos will be selected by a round of reader voting, so don't worry, you'll get to have your say. The top vote-getters then go to our panel of professional judges including Jonah Kessel, Creative Director for China Daily and Tom Carter, author of "CHINA: Portrait of a People," who will make the final cut. More details after the jump... Think you've got some great China photos? Then show us! Here's how to get involved:
  • It's easy—just tag your chosen photos on Flickr with "ctrippic".
  • No Flickr account? No problem! Just email your photos to and we'll add them for you.
  • Entries will be accepted through February 18, 2011.
  • There's no limit to the number of photos you can enter, but they must be taken within China (includes Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau).
  • Photos must be a minimum size of 640 x 480 pixels (not necessarily those exact dimensions) to display well on the contest page.
  • Copyright remains with the photographer. Any images featured on the China Travel Blog will credit the photographer and link back to the original source. Photos will be remove from the China Travel Blog upon request.
And as an extra treat, we've got 10 free China Travel newsletter between now and the end of the contest for your chance to win a years' worth of unfettered internet access from China's premium VPN provider!
