Sex trade scandal to cost Hilton Chongqinq its 5-star rating

Originally reported by the Straits Times, this is news that will no doubt put a dent in the generally respected Hilton brand (and no, Paris wasn't part of it). The story so far:  As part of a recent crackdown on the sex trade in Chongqing, authorities raided the Hilton Hotel’s Diamond Dynasty Club and another club in the hotel's basement, both alleged to be linked to prostitution and other unseemly activities. 102 people were taken into custody, and 22 were arrested. What's even more shocking is the Marsellus Wallace-like vigor with which Chongqing authorities are approaching sex trade enforcement:
Some of the police methods of tackling China’s sex trade have been called into question recently. The authorities were criticized when a woman, accused of being a prostitute, was reportedly dragged through the streets of the city of Dongguan at the end of a rope. (
