Huangshan travel information Ah, scenic Huang Shan. It's difficult to argue with towering peaks, wind-blown snowfall and rays of sunshine and this picture has it all. A mountain range that has given us some of China's most iconic images, Huang Shan has been a popular staple design on silks, porcelain, canvas and paper for hundreds of years. Today, the easily accessible areas are often overrun with crowds, but with a little effort it's easy to sneak away, find some solitude and imagine what it must have been like hundreds of years ago to be an artist holed away amidst the majestic peaks, pursuing your craft. Big thanks to Markus Bo for taking this wonderful picture. Head over to his Flickr photostream to see some more of his truly amazing photographs from all over China.
