Ok, this Chinese Holiday, I went to Hong Kong from mainland China. Paid WWAYYYYYYY to much for my flight (4000 RMB return from Shanghai), but I had to renew my visa, so it had to be done.
Anyhoo, I'm not a big Disney freak by any stretch, but everyone I know who have gone to Hong Kong Disneyland (young and old), have really said it was fun and worth it even if you are not into Disney stuff. Actually, a friend of mine had a connection so he got us in for free. That was sweet. However paying 60 Hong Kong Dollars for a hotdog wasn't so cool. I recommend that you pack a lunch and bring your own stuff to drink. Everything inside the Disneyland area is super expensive. I have to say, I loved it. The 2 haunted houses were my favorite. Really scary. Apparently Sunday is the busiest day and Mondays are the most quiet. if you are going to Disneyland with kids, the list below is particularily applicable. Every day there is a parade usually at 3pm (also 1pm at weekends), the Festival of the Lion King Show is worthwhile (up to 4 performances daily), Golden Mickeys Show (up to 5 performances daily) and most of the rides in Fantasyland, and Adventureland including the jungle river cruise, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Cinderella Carousel. hongkongextras.com/_hong_kong_disneyland.html I definitely recommend you go to Disneyland. But pack a lunch. That's all folks.
