The budget travel guide pioneers at Lonely Planet celebrated the shipping of their 100 millionth guidebook (congrats guys!) with a huge photo contest. They've received a staggering 130,000 spectacular photos from around the world and used the winners to create a magnificent mosaic image of the earth. If you love travel photography as much as we do, it's definitely worth checking out. Among the travel pictures you'll find stunning photographs of glamorous young Indian girls parading on a performance stage at the world's largest camel fair, Pushkar ka Mela; saw-toothed mountains behind amber-hued hills in the Bergdorf countryside, Austria and Li River fishermen casting their nets under the light of the moon. You can view the mosaic and all the winning pictures here. The Lonely Planet contest may be over, but if you are traveling in China and love photography, you're always welcome to post your images here at China Travel—simply register on our site and post away. We're also happy to post your China travel stories, if you've got one or a few you'd like to share, contact us. Happy traveling!
