Location & rooms

In March of 2009 the Pullman Shanghai Skyway re-branded the property and gave it a makeover. The 653 rooms and suites are well appointed, tastefully decorated and a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of China's favorite international metropolis. One stand out feature at this 5-star hotel are the bathtubs. Set against the window, they overlook the city—a soak in one of these scenic tubs is the perfect beginning, or end, to a great day. hotel rooms at the Pullman Shanghai Skyway

While not quite in the middle of one of Shanghai's busiest shopping streets like Huaihai Lu or near the Art Deco architecture of the Bund, the Pullman Shanghai Skyway is near one of the city's favorite areas, Tianzifang. The narrow cobblestone alleyways are a maze of boutique shops, art galleries, small cafés, cozy bars and restaurants. Lit up at night by strings of white, twinkling lights, Tianzifang is sure to capture the heart of any daytime or evening visitor. Thankfully, Tianzifang has retained the ambiance of everyday Shanghai life and, despite a boom that has seen more of its lanes turned into boutique shops and bars, it is still home to many locals and a morning stroll through its alleys takes in people hanging their laundry, doing tai chi, walking their dog or just catching some morning sun.

Eating & drinking

Hungry? There are plenty of tasty options to choose from with six bars and restaurants on site offering what the Pullman terms a  ''world of dining" for guests. Zaffraan also hosts the daily breakfast buffet. Down on the ground, the Lakeside Cafe (ground floor) offers pastries and other light meals in a garden setting. Those after a taste of China can dine à la carte on Cantonese dim sum at Hua Fu, the elegant Chinese restaurant. If a little extra comfort is what you're looking for, then the hotel's Executive Lounge on the 45th floor is for you: a comfortable, private space with drinks and snacks tailored to high-level and business guests.
