Happy Dragon Boat Festival everyone! As I write this, each word carries me closer to a three-day weekend, eating too many zòngzi (粽子) and shaking off the workweek like a pesky case of the hiccups. Zòngzi, seen in the photo above, are (among other things), delicious, and a staple of the Dragon Boat Festival. The triangles of glutenous sticky rice, egg yolk, pork and other delicious things (recipes vary) are wrapped in bamboo leaves and steamed to perfection. This process produces a deliciously unhealthy glob of deliciousness. That is a fact. While perusing the Internet for awesome Dragon Boat pictures, I stumbled across this guide to wrapping zongzi, and recommend it highly to those looking to get down in the kitchen and make their dreams come true.

Have a great long weekend!
