The Harbin Ice Festival (Harbin Guiji Bingxue Jie) is a spectacular display of ingenuity and imagination that takes over the city every January, turning Harbin into an icy wonderland.
One of the world's largest snow and ice festivals, the Harbin Ice Festival kicks off every January 5 and runs for a month (though, weather permitting, many displays remain on view far longer), and is actually comprised of a number of individual sites, from Zhaolin Park and Sun Island Park, to Harbin Ice and Snow World and the  Ice and Snow Art Hall. Below are some great pics from last weekend at the 2010 Harbin Ice Festival. Also check out more Harbin Ice Festival photos.
