Snakes & Ladders

The international arm of China's leading online travel agent, Ctrip, celebrated Spring Festival 2013 and the Year of the Snake with a giant, interactive version of the classic board game Snakes & Ladders at their offices in Shanghai. Contestants were selected at random from customers who booked and stayed at a hotel through one of Ctrip's non-Chinese language websites (English, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish or Russian) between 14 December 2012 and 15 February 2013. These lucky customers were invited to play a life-sized game of Snakes & Ladders in Shanghai on Monday, 25 February. Nine Ctrip customers faced off for the chance to win the first prize of RMB 5,000 worth of Ctrip coupons, and the honor of being crowned the Ctrip Snakes & Ladders Champion.... 1st Prize: RMB 5,000—Nicolas Fernandez (and son), Chile (right of Yoyo) 2nd Prize: RMB 3,000—Antonin Lelievre, France (left of Yoyo) 3rd Prize: RMB 1,000—Camille Chauvin, France (far left) 4th Prize: RMB 100—Ke (Scott) Zhengxuan, USA (far right) Snakes & Ladders 5th-9th Prize: RMB 100 Miguel Angel Delgado, Mexico Anthony Tok, Singapore Terry Lawrence, Australia Ryo Katsuyama, Japan Kelly Dignan, Canada Snakes & Ladders is a game of chance played on a checkered board.
