Ctrip Ctripper posts come to us directly from the good folks at Ctrip, China's top online travel agency (and proud sponsor of ChinaTravel.net). Stay tuned for Ctrip special offers, travel tips, news on new travel deals, tours and activities, and slices of life-in-China from Ctrip staff and interns. Meet the team that brings you all of these great deals.... >>> When did you join Ctrip? Late August 2010 What do you do at Ctrip? Write and edit posts about China, pretend to write and edit posts about China when writer's block hits What’s your favorite airline? Air India because I always get bumped up to First Class Where do you call home? Wherever I lay my head, sadly, but one day ... one day I'll have that castle in the pie ... What is the farthest you have been from home? Other side of the planet? Farthest reaches of sanity? What is the longest flight you have ever taken? Longer than you. What is the most beautiful place you have ever been? That's an impossible question to answer because everything goes into that: setting, people, time, period of my life, what I was chewing on, whether or not a beautiful lady was smiling at me at the time ... all in all I would say the Western and Northern Coasts of Ireland, the Kenai Peninusla in Alaska, The Lost Coast in Cali, Burning Man sunrise, the sight of my friend bouncing into Hobo Cove with supplies after four days in a monsoon with food running out and our shelter wiped away by the tide, my son's bedside when he opens his eyes and smiles at me ... What is your favorite Chinese dish? Very tough question. I like Suan Li Bai Rou, Kou Shui Ji, Sao Bai and northern style dumplings. But I also love Xinjiang Kebabs and northwestern style noodles. Oh man, BBQ sea stuff in Canton ... Chongqing spicy noodles ... If airplanes could be filled with anything for you to sit/lay on what would it be? Goose feather and silk divans with shisha pipes and an unlimited supply of apple tobacco and mint tea If you could have a private bus, helicopter, plane, or spaceship, which would you choose? Why? I would choose a Transformer (Autobot) that could change into all those plus kick it with me when we were on some mountain top and protect me when the Decepticons come to pry the secrets of the universe out of my tiny brain. If you could go anywhere in the world for free where would you go? Home ;) To read more about Sascha's life in China, check out his personal blog: www.saschamatuszak.com
