Ctrip Ctripper posts come to us directly from the good folks at Ctrip, China's top online travel agency (and proud sponsor of ChinaTravel.net). Stay tuned for Ctrip special offers, travel tips, news on new travel deals, tours and activities, and slices of life-in-China from Ctrip staff and interns. Meet the team that brings you all of these great deals.... >>> When did you join Ctrip? June 17th, 2009, I remember the date exactly. On that day I had the interview wearing a black suite, which I’ll never put it on again. What do you do at Ctrip? I was hired as the dept. admin assistant at first, for both Online Marketing Dept. and English Website Dept. (because they’re under the same boss). And from March, 2010 I became an officially part of English Website Dept., working in the marketing group. What’s your favorite airline? Why? China Southern Airlines, actually I only take CSA once, but they offered me the best flight meal I’ve ever had. It’s an important criterion to me. What is your favorite place you've ever traveled to? Actually, I didn’t travel to many far away places. Among all the cities I’ve been, I like Beijing the best, I like skiing. Where do you call home? I heard that “home is where the heart is”. Zhejiang province of course is where my original home is, and now Shanghai is my second home, where I’ve lived for 9 years. What is the farthest you have been from home? According to my family, Xinjiang is the farthest. They took me there with them when I was a child and without asking my opinion. Do you collect key cards from hotels you've stayed at? Do you steal the shampoo? No, does anyone likes collecting the key cards? I don’t like the shampoo in the hotels, they make my skin dry. Maybe because the hotels I stayed are not good enough. If you could have a private bus, helicopter, plane, or spaceship, which would you choose? Why? Plane! The same reason as Shirleen’s – in case of 2012 really happens. But I think it’s easier to drive a plane than a spaceship. Would you rather go to a beach, the mountains, or the city on vacation? I’d choose beach. It makes me feel relaxed. If you could go on a free vacation to anywhere in the world, where would you go? Egypt? Greece? Tibet? Your question reminds me that I have a lot of places I want to go! Ok, Greece, if it’s free.
