Ctrip Ctripper posts come to us directly from the good folks at Ctrip, China's top online travel agency (and proud sponsor of ChinaTravel.net). Stay tuned for Ctrip special offers, travel tips, news on new travel deals, tours and activities, and slices of life-in-China from Ctrip staff and interns. Meet the team that brings you all of these great deals.... >>> When did you join Ctrip? I joined Ctrip on May 19, 2008. Yeah, I remember this date so clearly as my first job after my graduation from college. What do you do at Ctrip? I joined the translation team as a translator at first, mainly to translate hotel, flight things from Chinese to English and to work with the editors to provide content support for the site. What’s your favorite airline? Actually I haven't traveled by flight so far, so no answer for this question right now. But I definitely know it would not be Spring Air. Just kidding :). Where do you call home? I would call a place as home where my families are, some place that would give me ease and settled feelings. What is the farthest you have been from home? Till now, the farthest place I have been to is Yellow Mountain in southern Anhui Province. It's about a 5-hour bus ride from People's Square, Shanghai and over 500 km from my home. What is the longest flight you have ever taken? I haven't taken any flight yet. I will plan more long travel in the near future. What is the most beautiful place you have ever been? The answer is Yellow Mountain without any doubt. I will call it a place where the gods live, there are stones of various shapes, special pines all over the mountain, especially when the mist rises and the cloud sea goes up all of a sudden. It's really wonderful. What is your favorite Chinese dish? It's too hard to name just one or two. Relatively speaking, I like fish dishes a little bit over other dishes. If airplanes could be filled with anything for you to sit/lay on what would it be? Couldn't specify, but definitely something soft but also supportive. If you could have a private bus, helicopter, plane, or spaceship, which would you choose? Why? Plane. As you can see I have traveled by air till now, why not I make use of this opportunity to travel by my own plane? If you could go anywhere in the world for free where would you go? There're so many to-be-there places on my list. I would say Europe if I can just choose one, as it's on the top.
