Ctrip Ctripper posts come to us directly from the good folks at Ctrip, China's top online travel services provider (and proud sponsor of ChinaTravel.net). Stay tuned for Ctrip special offers, travel tips, news on new travel deals, tours and activities, and slices of life-in-China from Ctrip staff and interns. Here, our daring friend Arthur Jones embarks on what we think is a dangerous journey: walking barefoot across China.... >>> Our friends at LostPensivos Films are going to be turning the camera on co-founder Arthur Jones to create a somewhat unusual new documentary. In it Jones, also known as the "Sole Man", plans to abandon shoes for a year to see if barefoot living could actually change the world. After a five-day footwear-free hike through the wilds of rural Britain, dodging dog dirt all the way, he will start planning the longest barefoot journey in modern human history: 1,000 miles across the middle of China. I'm not sure if I'm intrigued or disturbed (or just worried about his health), but I definitely cannot wait to watch as he supposedly turns up shoeless to meetings and weddings and attempts to avoid picking up any ailments walking through some of the filthiest streets in China.
