Jade Emperor Temple, Hangzhou, Andy Brandt This fearless pair of nimble fingered young ladies is perched high atop the tiles of Hangzhou's Jade Emperor Temple. The two are engrossed in the task at hand and it's the kind of charmingly incongruous sight that makes living and traveling in China so unique and memorable. More on the photo and the photographer after the jump.... This image comes to us an an entry to the Shanghai for three years and though these days he calls scenic Hangzhou his home, the contrast between the glitzy, modern metropolis of the former and the more refined and laid-back vibe of the latter continue to keep him happily intrigued. That Andy studied digital media arts back in Germany is evident in some of the photographic techniques and processing he employs to create his range of beautiful and sometimes fantastical images. We thoroughly recommend heading to his PhotonMix Flickr photostream to take look around. Got some great some China travel photos?
