Alain delorme totems

Thanks to our old friend and former China Travel writer Rebekah Pothaar for putting us on to this colorful collection of images from French photographer Alain Delorme as seen on Design Boom.

Living in China we see these lumbering giants on a near daily basis as people haul their lives and livelihoods around the city on two and three wheels. Here, Delorme homes in on individuals, taking an alternative look at a changing China that switches the focus from the masses to the man on the street; the individuals determined to keep adding one more box to an already teetering load.
