Today's photo comes from cycling guru Daniel Carruthers and his blog on all things biking in China, BikeDan in Asia.

It's actually the second of his photos we've featured from what appears to have been an awe-inspiring trip to Qinghai back in July. Last time it was Tibetan monks checking out his wheels, and now, open-air pool halls 4,500 meters up... who knew the Tibetans got busy racking up some 8-ball way up there in the clouds!

To read more more about Dan's cycling adventures around Qinghai Lake and the Tibetan Plateau amongst many other places, and to glean all sorts of useful info on biking in China in general, go have a nose around his blog. Even for non-biking enthusiasts, there's plenty of great photography, unusual destinations and entertaining stories to be told!
