taxi, shanghai If you've spent any time at all in China, you'll know fine well that driving is not one of this country's fortés. Unruly traffic and complete disregard for road signs, pedestrians, other motorists, and divisions between streets, bike lanes, sidewalks and any other more or less flat surface miraculously come together and manage not to result in horrendous crashes at every turn... thankfully, near misses tend to be the order of the day. However, it is clearly very tough for those behind the wheel here to resist a cheeky short cut, but be warned, ignoring the signs can leave you in a very sticky situation indeed...
