We've been following Daniel Carruthers' cycling adventures at his China Travel Forum (warning: design shock), we thought we'd spend a bit more time checking out what he's been up to. Plenty, it turns out.
His latest post is on cycling in Qinghai, a part of China that few travelers visit. The photos are stunning, the roads look brand-new, and the race Dan covered for CyclingNewsAsia was a clear success.
Check out Top China Destiation: Qinghai Lake for some fantastic photos and note that it's just part 1 of a larger Qinghai report, so check back with Bikedan for more. Poke around the site and you'll find plenty of interest, even if you're not big in to biking, though it's a definite must for anyone thinking about serious riding in China.
Take, for instance, Chengdu Cycling, which includes a link to his brother's Sunrise Muesli page (they deliver all over China, muesli lovers) and tips on where to rent bikes, go for bike tour info, the best time to check in on the pandas at the Panda Research Base, and great recommendations on where in Chengdu to ride.
